The consequences of successful cyberattacks on critical applications systems can be devastating, leading to different types of losses – financial, reputational, etc. and, what is more, functional safety compromise, which at the end of the day can drastically influence environmental and people’s safety.
The correlation between cybersecurity and functional safety is challenging for diverse types of cyber-physical systems in different domains and applications (industrial automation, energy, mobility, logistics, etc.) to understand the various risks they face, develop effective assessment strategies, and propose countermeasures considering protection peculiarities and criticality.
The crucial goal in ensuring the sustainability of the development and operation of critical cyber-physical systems is to ensure the overall safety of cyber-physical systems by providing a reliable and trustable environment where the used processes and products are secured.
The seminar is dedicated to the proposed methodological foundations and technologies for combining techniques and tools used for information security, cybersecurity, and functional safety assurance of cyber-physical systems. In particular, the following questions will be addressed:
- Enterprise knowledge management system of multi-level monitoring and management of security components;
- AI quality and AI/ML cybersecurity issues for autonomous transport mobility systems (aviation, space, maritime);
- Functional safety and cybersecurity co-engineering;
- Cybersecurity assurance using Advanced Security Assurance Case.
