The IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, in accordance with its general principles, promotes an environment of encounter and exchange between Italian and foreign students, revealing itself to be a rich and formative reality. It has always structured its doctoral PhD Programmes and the organisation of its student activities by devoting particular attention to the national and international scientific context of reference.
In considering foreign students a fundamental resource, this section of the site is dedicated to them to help them navigate the bureaucratic procedures required for entry into a country other than their own.
Enclosed in the FAQ, divided by topic, are the various questions that identify the most frequent doubts and problems encountered by students themselves over the years. It is, for this reason, a constantly evolving and changing section.
International students can contact the Campus Management and Facilities Office for visa, residence permit, tax code and health care procedures. Students can deal with the office for accommodation in the residence, canteen service and other services (e.g. Italian language course, cleaning service, etc.) In order to meet the needs of each student, the office receives by appointment.
