Modern vehicles are equipped with increasingly advanced control systems that go beyond traditional mechanical components. These complex control techniques play a crucial role in improving safety, efficiency, and overall vehicle performance. This seminar will explore the application and industrialization of a predictive power split system designed for hybrid powertrains. This system aims to enhance energy efficiency by optimizing the use of a rechargeable battery and a fuel-based power source in hybrid vehicles. By leveraging preview information about upcoming road and traffic conditions, the system generates a predictive power split plan that dynamically adjusts in real-time to meet the vehicle’s torque requirements. The goal is to improve fuel economy and overall vehicle performance by making intelligent decisions about when to use the battery or the fuel engine, ensuring optimal battery state of charge and minimizing fuel consumption. This adaptable and responsive approach is applicable to various hybrid vehicle configurations, making it a versatile solution for modern hybrid powertrains.
