I am a PhD student in Economics, Management and Data Science at IMT.
My studies began at University of Bologna, where I took my bachelor in Statistics cum laude. Then, I decided to approach finance, thus I enrolled in the Master's degree in "Statistical, Financial and Actuarial Science" in University of Bologna. I graduated with merit presenting a final thesis on the identification of financial bubbles, where I also described some evidence on how these phenomena spread among different countries.
Unexpected phenomena that negatively affect economies and people's lives still remain my main focus of interest, thus I decided to devote my PhD thesis to the analysis of economic and social impacts of natural disasters. Thanks to my actuarial background, I'm truly convinced of the power of insurance instruments in enhancing resilience and that's why I'm aiming to shed some light on the benefits they can bring in a national mitigation framework.
