Livia Torchio is a Ph.D. Student in Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Milan and a master’s degree in Performing arts from the Iuav University of Venice, where she specialized in Aesthetics of the contemporary scene.
Her research interests include:
- The entrance of dematerialized artworks in the collections of Contemporary art museums
- Archival strategies for live performance
- The definition of performance in Italian copyright law
- Performance Studies
Her Ph.D. thesis focuses on live performance collecting in Italian contemporary art Museums.
