Functional brain imaging in depression and psychedelic interventions

I will talk about how neuroimaging techniques can help us understand brain dysfunction in major depression and elucidate the impact of novel pharmacological interventions on brain function. I will first present on innovative analytical techniques that can be leveraged to derive topographical maps of functional brain organization and show how these approaches can help map brain dysfunction in treatment resistant major depression. I will then proceed to introduce novel pharmacological interventions based on psychedelic substances and present findings reflecting the longitudinal impact of these substances on brain function.
