Profile
The IMT School invites applications for a Research Collaborator with a strong interest in sensory processing, neural plasticity, and development.
The ideal candidate has good programming skills and a documented track record of research experience and outcomes related to the topic of this position. He/she has experience with experimental protocols performed with populations of sensory-deprived individuals and with the recording and analysis of EEG data.
Activity
The candidate is expected to perform research activity both at the IMT School and at other institutes (collaborating Universities and Hospitals) in order to create new experimental paradigms, to perform behavioral and EEG data collections and the associated data analyses as well as to prepare manuscripts.
The candidate will be part of the MoMiLab Research Unit, the Cognitive Neuroscience community of the IMT School, and will work under the supervision of Dr. Davide Bottari. National and international collaborations will integrate the research team.
Formal requirements
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Cognitive Sciences or related fields, preferably acquired within the last 6 years;
  • Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English.
Specific requirements
  • A good track record of research experience and outcomes related to the topic of this position;
  • At least 3 years of research activity comprising experience with the acquisition and advance analysis of EEG data such as: analysis of oscillatory activity, e.g. time Frequency decomposition and analysis of data acquired with auditory frequency tagging approach;
  • Good programming skills.
