Her research interests include: autocracy promotion in post-Soviet Central Asia, internal dynamics of authoritarian regimes, institutional transitions and media law.
Adele Del Sordi completed her undergraduate studies at the Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”. Prior to her studies in Lucca, she spent one year as a UN Volunteer in Kazakhstan, working as Communications Assistant for the UNV Office, and a semester in Moscow, where she audited seminars at the Moscow State University.
In 2009 Adele spent a term teaching and researching at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, while in spring 2010 she visited the Centre for Russian and East European Studies at the University of Birmingham, UK.
Adele has also spent a research period as a Visiting Fellow at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, at Harvard University. For this she has been awarded a grant by the Italy-US Fulbright Commission.
