Computers and controls: two parallel stories that need to converge

The seminar will discuss the relationships between the Systems and Control and the Computer Engineering domains.

A critical analysis of current practices in computing systems design will evidence the need for establishing a solid cooperation between the two communities, together with the difficulties that the said establishment entails. A few success stories will be briefly presented to support the statements made, and the talk will end with some suggestions for future research.
