Faking of personality disorders

In mental insanity assessment of the defendant has a clear advantage in faking a personality disorder. This objective may be achieved via reporting unverifiable anamnestic information and via modulating responses to a clinical interview. Also psychometric tests may be faked unless some specific scales for controlling malingering are built in the test. The presentation will address the issue of how to evaluate potential faking attitudes in mental insanity assessment.
