I am an Italian archaeologist and critical heritage researcher. Formed as a classical archaeologist, my academic experience in the UK (where I also worked for two years as a project assistant with the British commercial archaeology company MOLA) led me to delve into the domain of public archaeology, especially on the digital applications to cultural institutions. Finally, moving toward the socio-political aspects of critical heritage studies, my current research focuses on the role of archaeological heritage in the public discourse of diverse political actors in terms of the relationship between heritage, identity and ideological manipulation.
