IMT Lucca invites applications for a junior Research Collaborator in neuroimaging and advanced imaging data processing in sensory deprivation. Specifically, the MOMILAB research group is interested in investigating the neural mechanisms underlying perceptual, cognitive and affective processes.
The ideal candidates must have at least a 3-year experience in a relevant subject area (e.g. neuroscience, psychology or neuroimaging), possess excellent statistical and computer programming skills, and preferentially have a good record of high quality publications. Strong experience with advanced methodologies in brain imaging is required.
The candidate will be responsible for the completion of the analytical activities of a dataset of cerebral structural MRI of congenitally blind and acquired blind subjects, shared by various international research groups, aimed at understanding the anatomical modifications underlying the plastic reorganization that occurs in subjects deprived of a sensory modality from birth. The candidate will also have to contribute to the finalization of the scientific reports and to the dissemination of the project activities.
- Master Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Medicine or other fields related to the topic of e research
- Excellent spoken and written english
- PhD not compulsory but preferable
- The candidate should possess excellent statistical and computer programming (i.e., Matlab, C++, Python, etc.) skills.
