Neuroeconomics, Game Science and Edutainment

1 Research Collaborator position
(Deadline February 5th, 2020 12:00 )
Fields

Neuroeconomics, neuroscience, game, gaming, museum, edutainment, savings

Activity
Participation in the research activities of the Research Project "A neuroscientific study of promoting savings behavior in school-age children" related to the enhancement of specific traits in the management of children's savings through interaction and collaboration between peers.
The research project will engage a wide gamut of methodological approaches ranging from social sciences and behavioral data processing to the use of brain imaging methodologies, biometrics and other technologies to assess decision-making behavior in contexts of interaction or collaboration between peers. Games have been increasingly used in the emerging field of neuroeconomics to study brain mechanisms underlying decision-making in a social context.
In particular, the research activities of the Research Collaborator will specifically focus on the development of an interactive game capable of increasing specific financial skills in school-age children through peer collaboration.
The conception of the game should also take into account the experimental context (i.e., a museum) and the possible social spillover of the training. After the design, the Research Collaborator will have to test the validity of the interactive game with field experiments.
