Traumatic brain injury (TBI) represents a major international health crisis, affecting military servicepersons, athletes, and the public across a spectrum of injury severity.  Neuroimaging of TBI presents challenges concerning data acquisition and variability in injury composition and location.  In this lecture, I illustrate the role of multi-modal MRI in TBI assessment and, by way of example, describe the modeling of a particularly notable TBI case.
